Hangry Cure (or Coco-Almond-Banana bites!)

Tired. Hungry.  Not happy food is not immediately in front of you.  I call that Hangry, and I know it well.  Not so much from me, but mainly from my husband Nick.  He is usually a pretty chill guy, but when he’s Hangry, it’s not pretty.

When I felt it coming on, I threw together the most nutrient-dense & fast concoction I could find.  Always helps to keep these essentials on hand for times like this!

Ingredients

  • Almond butter
  • Coconut flakes
  • Banana slices
  • Whole wheat bread (as brown and fresh as possible!)

Just slice the bread thinly, spread some almond butter, add a few banana slices and sprinkle with coconut.  Done and done.  Hangry disaster narrowly averted.
